How to Upload Mods to Your purehosted Server
Follow these steps to locate your mod files in CurseForge, Modrinth, or manual downloads and upload them to your purehosted server:
🔍 Step 1: Open CurseForge/Modrinth and Locate Your Modpack
- Launch the CurseForge or Modrinth app.

Locate your modpacks:
- In CurseForge, go to the My Modpacks tab.
- In Modrinth, go to the Home tab or open the instance/profile folder.
- Find the modpack you want to upload mods from.
- Click the three dots (⋮) on the modpack tile and select Open Folder to open the pack root in Windows Explorer.
📁 Step 2: Open the Mods Folder
- In the opened folder, open the mods subfolder.
- This folder contains the
.jarfiles for the mods installed in your modpack.

🖱️ Step 3: Upload Mods to Your purehosted Server
- Open your browser and sign in to the purehosted Server Panel.
- Navigate to your server and open the Files tab.
- Open the server-side
modsfolder (typically/home/container/mods). If it does not exist, create it. - From Windows Explorer, select the
.jarfiles in your local mods folder and drag them into the panel’s mods folder.- Alternatively, use the panel’s Upload button to choose files manually.
- Quick tip: press
Ctrl + Ain the local folder to select all .jar files.
⚠️ Client-side only mods — do NOT upload
- Client-side only mods will not run on the server and can cause crashes or startup failures.
- Do not upload client-only mods such as shader packs and loaders, minimaps, HUD/UI-only mods, and purely visual/rendering mods.
- If a mod's page or description states “client-side”, “client only”, or references only rendering/UI, do not upload it.
✅ Step 4: Restart Your Server
Once all mods are uploaded:
- Open the Console or Overview tab in the panel.
- Click Restart to apply the changes and allow the server to load the new mods.
